One of our local Calgary food trucks, Los Compadres, has recently opened up a permanent location for dining-in.
We were hired to install a perforated vinyl print that they brought with them from Mexico.
It’s always interesting installing someone elses product as you never know what you’re going to get for materials or quality. There were a few hiccups, but overall the job went extremely well.
Perforated vinyl is a bit different than full film installations, as you don’t use a solution for a wet install. It is pretty forgiving material to work with.
The first step was to remove the frosted vinyl from the previous owner. Let me tell you, vinyl removal is not fun nor easy. You can use heat to aid with the adhesive, but at the end of the day you’re still doing quite a bit of labour.
