I was commissioned to do a project that at first, I wasn’t sure was possible…without a lot of headaches that is.

My client had an all black Arai helmet that he wanted to be changed to look similar to an Italian themed Arai helmet that was also on the market.  This meant a custom checker pattern and various lines/colours of vinyl.  Sure, it’s easy on a flat surface, but on a helmet, not an easy task.

Here is how it turned out.  Pretty clean looking and cool.  A bit rough around the edges in some spots, but that was due to doing free-hand cuts.  Not a lot of this helmet was actually cut on the vinyl plotter.
